Mutyam Reddy takes over as Medak TD chief  

 

SANGAREDDY, OCT. 26. The former Minister, Cheruku Mutyam Reddy, has taken over as Medak district Telugu Desam Party president. Party headquarters at Hyderabad announced a new body on Monday night with the Patancheru sarpanch, Sapandev, as general secretary of the district unit. Mutyam Reddy contested four times from the Dommat Assembly segment and lost the recent Assembly elections to the Telangana Rashtra Samiti candidate, Solipet Ramalinga Reddy. The party pitted him against T. Harish Rao in the recently concluded Siddipet byelections. Mutyam Reddy lost the contest but succeeded in reducing the margin of votes by almost 50 per cent.
