KARIMNAGAR, NOV. 5. The CPI-ML Janashakthi (Chandra Pulla Reddy) group official spokesperson, M.V. Prasad said the party had decided to revive its activities in the State by garnering support of other CP groups including Prathigatana, New Democracy and CPUSI naxalite groups.
The Janashakthi (CP) group had organised the martyrs memorial meeting to observe the 20th death anniversary Chandra Pulla Reddy at Press Bhavan here on Friday.
Revival of `movement'
Talking to newsmen, Mr. Prasad said they would promote the "CP-movement" in the State by mobilising all CP naxalite groups and bringing them under one umbrella.
Claiming that they belonged to the original Janashakthi party formed by K Ramachandran, he alleged that the Janashakthi party of Kura Rajanna (KR) had diluted the CP line and adopted Maoists' ideology. "Rajanna is being opportunistic by merging the movement with Maoists," he added.
Ruing splits
Referring to the splits in CP groups in 1984 and 1988, he said the People's War (now Maoists) grew in strength in the State due to split in CP groups. On forging alliance with Maoists, he said, "we would work with the Maoists on issues like fight against liberalisation. But our military style functioning would be different. We believe in election process. But they (Maoists) oppose elections," he noted.
`Talks, a failure'
Reiterating that the peace talks with extremists would not be successful, he said the Government was not sincere in the attempt. He also alleged that the Government was not committed to the implementation of land reforms.
He alleged that the Congress Government was acting on the diktats of the World Bank. "There is no need to approach World Bank if we remove black money from the society," he pointed out.
