Hyderabad, Nov. 9: In a new twist to the Telangana issue, PCC president K Keshava Rao on Tuesday said that there should be no time-bound programme for Telangana. He also asked TRS leaders not to play to the gallery and set a deadline for Telangana.
“There should be no time-bound programme for separate a Telangana. It will happen when people want it,” Rao told a meet-the-press programme organised by AP Union of Working Journalists. Asked how a separate Telangana was possible now that he was in favour of it and Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhar Reddy against, Rao replied, “The Chief Mini-ster’s stand is clear. He is for a second SRC. That is the stand of the Congress.”
