TRS to seek probe into party leader's killing

HYDERABAD, JAN. 19. The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Ministers, MLAs, chief coordinators and other senior leaders are expected to meet the Chief Minister, Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, today to express their resentment against the killing of a party activist in an encounter in Warangal. On their agenda is a demand for a probe by the monitoring committee — appointed to go into the violations of ceasefire by the police and naxalites during the peace talks — into the killing of Nalla Vasanth Kumar, TRS Warangal unit vice-president. Speaking to reporters here today, the party MLAs — E. Rajender, M. Satyanarayana Reddy, D. Srinivas Rao, S. Babu Rao, and K. Laxman Reddy — said the killing of Vasanth Kumar was a conspiracy of people opposed to Telangana State.
