HYDERABAD: The Telugu Desam Party president, N. Chandrababu Naidu, on Tuesday assured a large gathering of people from the Kalwakurti Assembly constituency in Mahbubnagar district that the party would stand by them and fight every "injustice" perpetrated on them by the Congress regime.

Dozens of leaders and a few hundreds of enthusiasts from both Congress and Telangana Rashtra Samiti joined the TDP under the leadership of B. Anand Kumar, former Congress Sarpanch of Kalwakurti, and reached the State capital. Their entry into the TDP was organised by the former Kalwakurti MLA, Jaipal Yadav.

They came in about 70 vehicles and assembled at the meeting hall in the basement of NTR Trust Bhavan, the TDP headquarters, where Mr. Naidu addressed them.
