HYDERABAD June 04: The TDP has said it was not fair on the part of the Maoists to serve an ultimatum on the TRS to sever links with the Congress.

The party general secretary, Kadiam Srihari, and another senior leader, K. Vidyadhar Rao, told reporters on Friday that all political parties had their own methods and views. It was not good to ask them to reverse their policies.

The style of functioning of parties could be criticised in public. "People will decide for themselves how to treat them," Mr. Srihari said.

Mr. Rao said the Congress Government far outdid the TDP regime on expenditure over publicity.
